AI video generator for your first story

Use MakeStory's AI video generator to turn a short idea into a storyboard, review the scene images, then animate and export your story.

Choose a story you can actually show

An AI video generator turns a written idea into visual scenes. In MakeStory, you review a generated storyboard and its images before requesting animation and a finished export. A useful first AI video has a visible problem and a clear ending. A delivery robot finds a parcel addressed to itself. That gives you something to film immediately. A broad theme such as kindness leaves the model to invent the important decisions.

MakeStory starts with a story brief and organizes the result into scenes. Treat the generated storyboard as a draft. You decide whether the actions connect before spending credits on motion.

Prepare the project

  1. Write one sentence naming the character, the problem and the ending.
  2. Choose the aspect ratio before composing images. Use 9:16 for a vertical story.
  3. Pick an art style and a small cast. Reuse saved character references when appropriate.
  4. Set a planned length that suits the idea and review the displayed credit quote.
  5. Create the storyboard, then inspect the scene order, dialogue and images.

Try a three-scene brief

Keep this first exercise small. Each shot changes what the viewer knows. The ending answers the question raised by the parcel.

Scene 1: A delivery robot reads its own name on a parcel.
Scene 2: It opens the box and finds a replacement wheel.
Scene 3: It fits the wheel, then rolls away without its old wobble.

Animate after the images work

Open the scene editor and correct the stills before requesting animation. Separate the subject action from the camera movement. A robot opening a lid needs less motion than a chase. Choose an available video model, check its settings and review the cost before confirming. Generate the clips and use the assembly controls when the scenes are ready.

Watch the exported file

  1. Play the whole video and check that the parcel, robot and wheel remain recognizable.
  2. Listen for missing words or unwanted sound, then inspect any generated subtitles.
  3. Check the first and last frames on a phone. Keep important details away from interface overlays.
  4. Download the completed file and upload it to your chosen platform yourself.

What should you expect on the first attempt?

Expect to review a draft rather than accept every generated choice. If a scene fails, change the relevant image, action or dialogue instead of rebuilding the entire project.

Generation time and credit use depend on the selected models, length and retries. The free storyboard planner lets you settle the story before starting paid work. An interface translation does not guarantee that every provider produces equally good speech in that language.
