This is a comparison of documented workflows, checked on 29 October 2026. MakeStory publishes it and is one of the products discussed. We have not run a matched paid-generation test, so this page does not rank output quality, speed or cost per usable result.
TrendStory documents Express videos, series, a character library, Studio and an AI agent. MakeStory has corresponding planning and editing workflows in its workspace. The presence of controls does not establish that the two services produce equivalent results.
Choose around the work you need to do
For recurring stories, inspect how each product saves the cast and carries it into the next episode. For editing, check whether you can change a scene without rebuilding the whole project. For short-form publishing, inspect the actual downloaded file and captions.
TrendStory’s public character guide describes reference-based continuity. MakeStory also organizes saved characters and scene references, but we do not claim perfect consistency. Try a brief with a close-up, a wide shot and a two-character scene before committing to a production workflow.

MakeStory’s current generation and checkout availability is shown in the workspace. The free storyboard planner works without an account. Video generation requires the appropriate account, plan, credits and configured services.
Consult both current pricing pages for actual offers. Do not compare only the monthly headline price: account for duration, available models, retries, export requirements and the work you can reuse. No pricing superiority claim is made here.
A fair test you can run
Keep the outputs and date the test. A future measured comparison should publish those results, including cases where either product performs better. Source links are provided below.
- Use the same original character reference and four-scene brief.
- Request the same aspect ratio and comparable duration.
- Record the settings, elapsed time, credits and retries.
- Review continuity, story clarity, captions and the final export.
- Calculate the cost of the usable result, including failed attempts.
