Start with a character, not a new description every time
A short series depends on recognition. A viewer should know who has entered the scene before the dialogue explains it. MakeStory has a character library for saving a reference and using that character in later projects.
Keep the few details that define the character stable: face or silhouette, hair or material, clothing and a distinctive prop. Describe actions and locations separately. That gives you a clearer way to judge whether a new scene belongs to the same story.
A practical continuity workflow
- Write a short character brief with fixed appearance details and a separate note about personality.
- Choose or create a reference in the character library. Use images you own or have permission to use.
- Select the saved cast when preparing your story or series.
- Review scene images before animating. Compare faces, clothing, proportions and style with the reference.
- Change a failed scene deliberately and inspect the result before exporting.
References help. Review still matters.
AI generation can change details, especially in wide shots, unusual poses or scenes with several characters. A reference is a useful input, not a guarantee of identical pixels. MakeStory gives you a place to manage the cast and review scenes; judge continuity in the actual output.
The concept artwork on this page illustrates an art direction. It is not a measured character-consistency test. Generation requires available providers, credits and an eligible plan. Check the workspace and pricing before starting production.
